Though your home at The Boulders is in a serene setting, just a short walk, bicycle or car ride will bring you to a wealth of activities including some of the North Shore’s finest dining, shopping, theatre and recreation.

Located some 23 miles north of Boston, the town of Wenham, MA, is known for its rural and wooded natural charm, but easy access to highways (Rts. 1, 128, and 95) and public transportation. Wenham is serviced by the MBTA commuter rail system, with a 46-minute ride to Boston and 20 minutes to Newburyport. The train station is less than half a mile from The Boulders, so you can leave your car at home. The Beverly Municipal Airport is also nearby and can accommodate piston, jet and rotary aircraft.

Wenham is home to two public golf courses and nearby to several private clubs including the Myopia Hunt Club in South Hamilton. Wenham also shares a local library with Hamilton which is just a three minute walk from the Boulders. Beautiful Patton Park in Hamilton is three-quarters of a mile from the Boulders and offers public tennis courts and ice skating in the winter. Other nearby recreational activities include horseback riding, boating, canoeing, polo, kayaking and hiking. And, don’t forget to take in a glorious day at one of several nearby beaches in Beverly, Ipswich, Manchester-by-the-Sea or Gloucester.

If you are looking for entertainment and culture you can visit the North Shore Music Theatre, Cabot Cinema or several art galleries next door in Beverly or one of the many museums in historic Salem. Shoppers will delight in walking to boutique shopping in both Wenham and Hamilton that includes Talbot’s and just 10-20 minutes away by car are larger malls featuring national retailers. After a busy day of shopping take a step back into a more “civilized” time and take in afternoon tea at the Wenham Tea House. And finally, a plethora of restaurants from award-winning upscale dining to casual fare will help round out any day.
